About Jio

Reliance Jio is India's largest telecom operator, with more than forty five crore subscribers, and it reshaped the market when it launched in 2016 by giving away data at prices nobody could match.

It runs an all-IP network with nationwide 5G, plus JioFiber and AirFiber for homes, and the MyJio app for recharges, bills and its bundled apps. For a very large number of Indians it was the first internet connection they ever had, which is why a Jio fault is felt well beyond phone calls, UPI payments, video calls and work all sit on it. Evenings and weekends carry the most data traffic, and recharge volume spikes at month start.

If Jio isn't working

Restart the connection Toggle airplane mode for 30 seconds to re-establish the Jio session. This fixes most single device drops.
Is it data, or calls too? Note whether only data, only calls, or everything is down, and whether it is just your area. Localised outages are common.
Check a second SIM or Wi-Fi If another network works fine, the issue is with Jio. Reporting it here helps map how wide the outage is.
For JioFiber, restart the router Power cycle the JioFiber router and the box and check the lights. A red LED usually means a line issue.
Check the live status above If many people in your area are reporting Jio right now, it is a wider problem and not just you.

Other ways to access Jio

Hotspot from another SIM If you have a second SIM on another network, share its data over a hotspot until Jio is back.
Wi-Fi calling over JioFiber or Wi-Fi If Jio mobile signal is weak but you have working Wi-Fi, enable Wi-Fi calling to make and take calls.
Switch between Jio mobile and JioFiber Jio mobile and JioFiber are separate networks, so if one is down the other often still works.
Report and track on MyJio or the helpline The MyJio app works over any internet to raise a fault, and the verified Jio helpline can register a complaint.

The map above shows whether it is national or local. Jio outages frequently sit in one circle or city, so a cluster from a single state usually means local network work rather than a countrywide fault. Flat reports and a dead connection point at your own SIM, router or area coverage.

Data and voice run on different parts of the network, so one can degrade while the other is fine. This is usually congestion rather than a full outage.

Airplane mode on-off karein ya phone restart karein. Network mode (5G/4G) badal kar dekhein, aur dusra SIM ya Wi-Fi try karein. Agar aaspaas dusro ka bhi Jio band hai to tower issue hai.

JioFiber is a separate network from mobile. Restart the JioFiber router and the box, and check the lights, before raising a complaint.
