About FamPay
FamPay is now called FamApp by Trio, and fampay.in opens famapp.in. It is a spending account with its own UPI ID and the FamX card, open to anyone aged 11 and up, so teenagers can pay without a bank account.
The account is issued by Tri O Tech Solutions Private Limited, which the Reserve Bank of India authorises to issue prepaid payment instruments (PPIs). UPI payments, recharges, bill payments and card spends all run inside the app.

If FamPay isn't working

Update FamApp The app now carries the FamApp by Trio name. Install the latest version from your app store and open it again.

Change the network Switch between mobile data and Wi-Fi. If one works, your connection was the problem.

Check balance and limits FamApp is a prepaid account, so a payment fails when the balance is short. Add money first, then retry.

Wait before retrying a failed UPI If money left the account, do not send it again. Wait for the reversal and note the UPI reference.

Check the live status on this page Many FamApp users reporting together means the service is down. Retry after a few minutes.
Other ways to access FamPay

Pay with another UPI app If you have a bank account, Google Pay, PhonePe or Paytm can make the payment while FamApp is down.

Use the FamX card When UPI fails, the FamX card may still work online or at a shop, as it runs separately from UPI.

Keep some cash For small payments at a shop or canteen, cash avoids the wait.

Our check of famapp.in and reports from other FamApp users, both on this page, answer that. A lot of users reporting UPI or the app in the same few minutes means FamApp's side is down. For one failed payment on its own, check your network and the other person's bank.
Check what fails. If the app opens but UPI payments fail, the problem can be FamApp's servers or the UPI network. If a shop or website declines the FamX card, check your balance and card limits in the app. A blank screen or constant loading on everything points to an outage.
Yes. FamPay now goes by the name FamApp by Trio. The same account, UPI ID and FamX card work in the renamed app, and fampay.in now opens famapp.in.
Update FamApp from the App Store and restart the phone. If it still does not open, delete and reinstall it, then log in with your registered mobile number. Many iPhone users reporting at once on this page means it is not your phone.
Do not pay again straight away. FamApp's FAQs say a failed add-money transaction is refunded to the source account. For a UPI payment that shows failed but was debited, wait for the reversal and keep the UPI reference number; if it does not come back, write to support with a screenshot.
