Jio Payments Bank Limited (JPBL) is a digital-first payments bank in the Jio Financial Services group, incorporated in November 2016 under an RBI licence. It offers zero-balance savings and salary accounts, Savings Pro, RuPay debit cards and Jio UPI.
Accounts are run in the JioFinance and MyJio apps, and through business correspondent outlets for customers without a smartphone. The bank's website is jiopayments.bank.in.

In the JioFinance or MyJio app, open Card preferences, then Service requests, and block the card temporarily or permanently. You can also call the toll-free 1800 890 7070, where the IVR blocks the card.
An account unused for over two years needs a fresh KYC. Send a self-attested copy of your Aadhaar, passport, voter ID or driving licence, with your current address, from your registered email to [email protected]. The bank reactivates it after checking the document.
Rs 5,000 in total for the first 24 hours after account opening. After that, up to Rs 1 lakh a day and 20 person-to-person payments a day.
An Aadhaar number linked to your mobile, a physical PAN card, and an age of 18 or more. Any mobile number works, not only Jio. Open it in the JioFinance or MyJio app or at a banking outlet; there is no minimum balance.
