About BharatPe

Shopkeepers across India take UPI payments at the counter with BharatPe, a merchant payments app run by Resilient Innovations Private Limited. One QR accepts money from any UPI app, with zero transaction charges. Collections settle to the shop's bank account the next day, or instantly if the merchant chooses.

The BharatPe Speaker reads out each payment in one of 10 languages. It runs on its own SIM, not the shop's Wi-Fi, and can replay the last transaction. BharatPe One and BharatPe Swipe add card payments. The same app tracks collections and settlements, and business loans come through BharatPe Money's NBFC partners.

If BharatPe isn't working

Verify a payment before giving goods For a payment not showing, check your BharatPe app and ask for the customer's UPI reference. Do not go by a screenshot alone.
Charge and restart the Speaker Charge the Speaker and restart it. It works on its own SIM, not your Wi-Fi, so move it near the shop front if the signal is weak.
Note the settlement date and amount If a settlement is late, note its date and amount. Then check your linked bank account and the settlement status in the BharatPe app.
Update and restart the app Update the BharatPe app and restart it, and switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data.
Check the live status on this page If many merchants across India are reporting BharatPe right now, it is a wider problem and not just your shop.

Other ways to access BharatPe

Keep a backup QR at the counter Keep a UPI QR from your bank or another payments app at the counter. Customers can then pay straight into your bank while BharatPe is down.
Log in on the website If the app will not open, click Login on bharatpe.com. It opens the BharatPe Merchant Dashboard, where you sign in to see collections and settlements.
Helpline for a stuck settlement For a settlement or payment still stuck after a day, the verified BharatPe helpline lists the support number and email.

Questions

Check the live status and merchant reports on this page. When shops in many cities report BharatPe together, the problem is at BharatPe's end and not your counter. If it is only your shop, restart the app and check the internet first.

BharatPe trouble shows up in three ways: a QR payment that does not confirm, a Speaker that stops announcing, or an app that will not log in. A late settlement is a separate problem from taking the payment, so check which one you have. A payment can also fail at the customer's bank or UPI app, before it reaches BharatPe.

Check the BharatPe app for the payment first. Then ask the customer for the UPI reference and whether their app shows it as successful. Do not hand over goods on a screenshot alone. If the payment failed, the customer's bank owes the money back to them, and the RBI timeline for that is the next working day (T+1).

Check which settlement you chose first. BharatPe QR collections settle to your bank automatically the next day, or instantly if you opted for instant settlement. The app shows the status of each collection and settlement. If the date has passed, raise it in the app's support section with the date and amount.

Charge the Speaker first; one charge lasts about three days. It runs on its own pre-installed SIM, so a weak signal at your shop also stops the voice alerts. Restart it and move it where the signal is better. Missed an announcement? The Speaker can replay the last transaction. If the QR scans but payments do not go through and many merchants report it on this page, the problem is at BharatPe's end.
