About MahaDBT

MahaDBT, the Aaple Sarkar DBT portal of the Government of Maharashtra, is where students apply for state and central scholarships and fee reimbursement, and where farmers apply for agriculture schemes. Benefits are paid by direct benefit transfer to an Aadhaar-seeded bank account.

The portal now runs in two versions. Fresh and renewal scholarship applications for the academic year 2026-27 go only through MahaDBT 2.0 at mahadbt2.maharashtra.gov.in, opened from 1 June 2026. The older MahaDBT 1.0 site stays open for 2025-26 applications and for re-submitting applications that were Sent Back.

This page checks mahadbt.maharashtra.gov.in and shows reports from students and farmers. When many applicants report in the same few minutes, the portal is down. If only your login fails, check that you are on the right MahaDBT version.

Check which portal you need. Scholarship applications for 2026-27 work only on MahaDBT 2.0 (mahadbt2.maharashtra.gov.in), while MahaDBT 1.0 handles 2025-26 and re-submitting Sent Back applications. Farmer schemes have their own login on the 1.0 site.

Only for older work. MahaDBT 1.0 takes 2025-26 fresh applications and re-submission of applications marked Sent Back for 2023-24 to 2025-26. For a fresh or renewal application this year, you need the 2.0 site.

Check that your Aadhaar is seeded with your bank account through NPCI, since DBT pays only to an Aadhaar-seeded account. Then track the application on the portal, which now shows its status at every stage.
