About National Scholarship Portal

The National Scholarship Portal is the single application point for central and state government scholarships, run under the Ministry of Electronics and IT. Pre-matric, post-matric, merit and minority scholarships are all applied for here.

Students register, upload documents, get their application verified by their institution and then track the payment, which comes through DBT into their bank account. Renewal applications for continuing students go through the same route.

Its load is entirely deadline driven, the last few days before an application or renewal cut-off bring lakhs of students together, and the site slows exactly when everyone needs it.
