About SiteDownStatus
SiteDownStatus is a simple, India-first outage checker. When something stops working, your bank's app, UPI, a government portal, a streaming service, you usually want just one answer, and you want it fast: is it down for everyone, or is it only me? That is the question this site is built to answer.
We started in June 2026 with a small, focused idea. Most outage checkers are either built for other countries, or they just ping a website once and call it a day. That does not tell an Indian user very much. Your UPI can fail while the bank's website loads perfectly fine. Your IRCTC booking can hang during Tatkal even though the site is technically "up". So we built something that pays attention to what people across India are actually reporting, not only what a server says.
Who runs this
SiteDownStatus is operated by ATHOD TECH PVT LTD, a technology company based in Jaipur, India. The site is built and maintained by our team, under the guidance of Saurabh Kumar, Founder of ATHOD TECH.
We are an independent service. We are not owned by, affiliated with, or endorsed by any of the companies, banks, apps or government bodies listed on this site. We do not act on their behalf, and we cannot fix an outage or process anything for you. What we can do is tell you, honestly and quickly, whether others are facing the same problem, and point you to the official helpline when you need it.
How we decide if something is down
We combine two signals. The first, and the more important one, is real user reports from people across India. When the same problem shows up in Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru at the same time, that is the clearest sign a service is actually down. The second is an automated check from our own server that confirms whether the site is responding. The reports matter most, because a server can answer while the app itself is broken for users.
We try hard not to overclaim. If our check cannot reach a service but nobody is reporting a problem, we will say we could not reach it, not that it is "down". We only call something down when users confirm it too. You can read the full, plain explanation of our method on our How we check page.
Helpline numbers
Along with live status, we keep a directory of verified customer care and helpline numbers for banks, payment apps, telecom operators, government services and more. Numbers change from time to time, so we note when each one was last checked, and we always suggest confirming on the official website before calling about anything urgent. Many times people land on our site not because a service is down, but simply because they need the right number to call. We want that to be easy too.
A note on accuracy
Our status is an unofficial, best-effort estimate, and it can be wrong. A service may work for you while others are struggling, or the other way around. We are not connected to the services we list, and we do not have any inside information about their systems. So please treat what you see here as a helpful signal, not a final word, and always confirm on the official site before you make any decision that matters.
If you find something wrong, a stale number, a service we should add, or a status that looks off, do tell us. Corrections from users are one of the main ways this directory stays accurate. You can reach us any time through our Contact page.
