About Udyam Registration
Udyam Registration is the Government of India portal where micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) register, run by the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises. Registration is free and paperless: it works on self-declaration, with Aadhaar, PAN and, where it applies, GSTIN.
Each enterprise gets a permanent Udyam Registration Number (19 characters, starting with UDYAM) and an e-certificate with a QR code. Old Udyog Aadhaar (UAM) holders migrate on the same portal, and informal micro units register through the linked Udyam Assist Platform.
The portal checks PAN and GST details against the Income Tax and GSTIN systems, so a problem in either can hold up a registration.

Keep Aadhaar mobile and PAN ready The Aadhaar OTP goes to your Aadhaar-linked mobile. Your name must match on Aadhaar and PAN, or the PAN step fails.

Our check of udyamregistration.gov.in and reports from other users, both on this page, show it. If many people are reporting the site or the OTP step at the same time, the portal is down. If only your form fails, recheck the Aadhaar, PAN and GST details you entered, then try again.
Look at the step where it stops. The site itself can be slow or down, but registration also depends on Aadhaar OTP and on PAN and GST checks with the Income Tax and GSTIN systems. When one of those is slow, the form stops at that step even though the site opens.
For a new registration, the Aadhaar OTP goes to the mobile linked with your Aadhaar. To log in later, the OTP goes to the mobile or email you filled in the Udyam application, whichever you choose. Wait a minute before asking again.
Udyam checks your PAN with the Income Tax system, so an error there stops the PAN step. Make sure the name and date of birth match your PAN exactly, then try again after some time. Companies, LLPs, societies and trusts also need their GSTIN where GST applies.
Open Print/Verify on udyamregistration.gov.in and choose Print Udyam Certificate. Enter your 19-character Udyam Registration Number and the mobile number from your application, then verify with OTP.
Use Forgot Udyam/UAM Number under Print/Verify. It verifies you with an OTP and shows the number again.
Any micro, small or medium enterprise can register, within the limits on the Udyam home page.
- Micro: investment up to Rs 2.5 crore and turnover up to Rs 10 crore.
- Small: investment up to Rs 25 crore and turnover up to Rs 100 crore.
- Medium: investment up to Rs 125 crore and turnover up to Rs 500 crore.
One enterprise gets one registration, and more activities can be added to it.
Nahi. Udyam registration bilkul free hai aur koi document upload nahi karna padta. Sirf udyamregistration.gov.in aur sarkari single window system hi registration kar sakte hain, isliye fees maangne wali kisi website ko paise na dein.
