About SBI Net Banking

State Bank of India is the largest bank in the country, majority owned by the Government of India and headquartered in Mumbai, with a branch and ATM network that reaches nearly every district. Crores of customers keep accounts, move money, pay bills and run UPI payments through its net banking site and the YONO app.

SBI also carries a big share of government banking work, salary accounts of central and state staff, pension credits, scholarship and subsidy transfers all sit with it. That mix is what lifts the load on the first working days of a month and again near the end, when salary and pension credits land together.

Alongside deposits and payments it runs home and vehicle loans, fixed deposits, lockers and cards, and it is one of the biggest debit card issuers in India.

If SBI Net Banking isn't working

Transaction failed but money debited? Do not retry. A failed transaction is auto reversed to your account, usually within a few hours to a few working days. Keep the reference number and check your statement first.
Salary day or 1st of the month? Peak load slows SBI down at these times. Wait a few minutes, or use UPI for an urgent payment. SBI itself suggests using its other digital channels.
OTP not coming? Keep your SBI-registered SIM in slot 1, check DND is not blocking transactional SMS, and wait a couple of minutes at peak times before asking for a new one.
Use UPI if a payment is urgent UPI from any app on your SBI account usually works even when net banking or YONO is down, so try that first.
YONO stuck or login failing? Update the app, clear its cache and re-login. If login still fails, reset through net banking Forgot Login Password.

Use UPI from the same account UPI on your SBI account via any app usually still works for payments and transfers when net banking or YONO is down.
YONO, YONO Lite or the website If one SBI channel is down, another often works. Switch between YONO, YONO Lite and net banking to find the one that is up.
Phone banking / IVR Call the verified SBI helpline to check balance, block a card or raise a complaint when net banking is not reachable.
ATM for cash and balance A nearby SBI ATM works for cash, balance and a mini statement when the digital channels are down.
