About Yes Bank

Yes Bank is a Mumbai based private sector bank serving retail customers, small businesses and corporates through around 1,200 branches, net banking and its mobile app.

After the 2020 reconstruction that SBI and other lenders led, its ownership has shifted again. Japan's SMBC has bought close to a quarter of the bank and is now the largest shareholder, with SBI holding roughly a tenth.

For customers the everyday banking is unchanged, accounts, UPI, cards, deposits and loans through the app and net banking. Salary credits, card due dates and the last days of a month are when its digital channels are busiest.

If Yes Bank isn't working

For a failed transaction, do not repeat it A failed IMPS or NEFT is auto reversed. Keep the reference number and wait, rather than sending the money again and risking a double debit.
Switch between the YES Mobile app and net banking If the YES Mobile app is stuck, try net banking on a browser, or the other way round. If one is down the other often still works.
Check your OTP and network A missing OTP is often a network or DND issue. Check your signal, switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data, and wait a minute before requesting a new one.
Update the app or clear its cache An outdated YES Mobile app can misbehave. Update it from the store, or clear its cache and sign in again.
