About Central Bank of India
Set up in Mumbai in 1911 by Sir Sorabji Pochkhanawala, Central Bank of India was the first Indian commercial bank wholly owned and managed by Indians. It was nationalised in 1969 and is a public sector bank today, with more than 4,500 branches. Despite the name, it is not the country's central bank; that is the Reserve Bank of India.
Customers bank online through the Cent eeZ app, the older Cent Mobile app, net banking and UPI. Pensions land in the final four working days of each month, which is when the most people log in together.

Check two things first. The OTP may not be reaching your registered mobile, or the app may be out of date. If lots of people report the same problem together, the trouble is on the bank's side; wait and try again.
The bank pays pension over the last four working days of the month, and in March it comes on or after the first working day of April. Pension and salary credits arrive on those days, and Central Bank customers sign in together to check them. If pages time out, wait and retry, or check the balance at an ATM. A missed call to 95552 44442 from your registered mobile gives the balance without logging in.
Yes. A failed ATM, POS, UPI or IMPS debit is reversed to your account, with UPI and IMPS due back within one working day under an RBI rule, so keep the reference number and do not repeat the payment. If it has not come back, report it to the 24x7 call centre on 1800 3030 or on the bank's online complaint portal, and keep the UIN the portal gives you.
Update Cent eeZ to its latest version first. Keep the SIM with your registered number in the phone, because registration sends a verification SMS from it, and keep mobile data on and Wi-Fi off while you register. If it still fails, try net banking in a browser instead. The older Cent Mobile app is a separate app too.
Branches follow the bank holiday list for your state, and close on Sundays and the 2nd and 4th Saturdays. Cent eeZ, UPI and the 24x7 call centre keep working on holidays.
