Twitter users across India report X problems on this page. A sudden jump in reports means X itself is failing. If yours is the only complaint, read the error on screen first. For a limit, X names the one you hit.

A burst of reports from many accounts points to X's side, and only waiting fixes that. X also says it may lower its limits for a while during heavy use, so on a big news day you can hit a limit sooner than usual.

X locks an account it thinks may be compromised or breaking its rules, and asks you to verify you own it. Log in, tap Start, enter your phone number and type the code X sends by SMS or call. X also emails steps, so check spam and junk folders.

Make sure the phone has signal or internet and that the X number is not blocked. The code can take a few minutes. Still nothing? Use the email password reset instead.
