It supports Android phones on Android 6.0 or newer and iPhones on iOS 15.1 or newer, rising to iOS 15.5 from 30 November 2026. On some public or office Wi-Fi networks that need a login first, WhatsApp cannot connect until you sign in or switch to mobile data.
