Our automated check runs from one or more locations and may miss in-app problems; reports come from users across India. We only call something "down" when users confirm it too. Here's how we check.

Questions
Indian Pinterest users log their problems here, and our monitor checks pinterest.com as well. A sudden jump in reports means Pinterest itself is having trouble. If nobody else reports it, check your own app, browser and connection.
A wave of reports from other users means Pinterest's servers are struggling and only Pinterest can fix it. If it is only you:
- Update the Pinterest app or try another browser.
- Switch between WiFi and mobile data.
- Log out and back in with the same email or Google or Apple account.
Pinterest limits activity to keep out spam, and sometimes it blocks logins or saving Pins from an IP address or area by mistake. Wait 30 minutes and try again; most limits are removed automatically.
Match your situation:
- Forgot password: use Forgot your password? on the login page. You need access to the account email.
- Forgot the email: search for your name, username or email on Pinterest's help page.
- Google or Apple login fails: check that Pinterest is still connected in that account's settings.
Pinterest does this when it notices strange activity on an account: it emails you, resets the password and logs everyone out. Reset the password from that email to get back in.
Not always. You may have created a second account by mistake, for example after getting a new phone. Log out and log back in with your original email or linked account.
Yes. Pinterest deactivates accounts that break its Community Guidelines, for example for spam, impersonation or harmful content. If you think it was a mistake, send an appeal through the Help Center; Pinterest reviews it and replies.
Yes. The download button on the status card saves a server down image with Pinterest's status, the time of our last check, and how many users are reporting problems.
