About Facebook

Facebook remains one of the most used platforms in India even as younger users drift elsewhere, and its reach here runs deep into smaller towns and older age groups. It is Meta's original service.

Beyond the feed, the parts people actually rely on are Groups for local communities and buying and selling, Marketplace for second-hand goods, Pages for small businesses, and events.

Since it shares infrastructure with Instagram and WhatsApp, a problem inside Meta usually shows up on all of them at once, which is why those three tend to be reported together.

Check your connection Switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data and reload, since a stuck feed is sometimes your network.
Refresh or restart the app Close and reopen Facebook, and pull to refresh. A stuck screen often clears on a restart.
Sign out and back in For login or posting glitches, sign out and back in. Do not repeatedly reinstall during an outage.
Update the app or clear its cache An outdated Facebook app can misbehave. Update it, or clear its cache and reopen.
