Why is Truecaller not working on my iPhone?

About Truecaller

Who is calling? On many Android phones and iPhones in India, the answer comes from Truecaller. The app shows the name behind an unknown number, blocks spam and scam calls, and sorts SMS. Indian users sign up with Truecaller International LLP, based in Gurugram.

Besides the app there is number search on truecaller.com, Truecaller Premium and Gold plans, and the AI call Assistant. When Truecaller's servers have trouble, caller ID goes blank, search shows errors and the verification code does not arrive.

Update the Truecaller app Old versions stop working after a while. Install the latest one from Google Play or the App Store.
Make Truecaller default again A phone system update can reset the default phone app. In Truecaller settings, open Caller ID and set Truecaller as the default dialer.
Clear the cached name A number can keep showing an old name saved on your phone. On Android, go to Settings, Apps, Truecaller and tap Clear cache.
Switch your network Try Wi-Fi if mobile data is weak, or the reverse. Roaming and a poor signal can stop the code from arriving.

Our status card checks truecaller.com and counts the problems Truecaller users in India report to us. A sudden burst of reports from many cities points to trouble at Truecaller's end, not on your phone.

If reports come in from all over India together, Truecaller's servers are facing a technical issue. Caller ID may stay blank and number search may fail until it is fixed. Wait and try again later.

If only your phone is affected, check mobile data or Wi-Fi, update the app and restart the phone.
