Answer: No BSE issues reported in the last 24 hours, and it responded normally at our last check on 24 Oct 2026, 4:04 AM IST.
Our automated check runs from one or more locations and may miss in-app problems; reports come from users across India. We only call something "down" when users confirm it too. Here's how we check.

About BSE
The Sensex, live share prices, company results and IPO application status are published on bseindia.com by BSE Limited, formerly the Bombay Stock Exchange, from Phiroze Jeejeebhoy Towers on Dalal Street, Mumbai.
Investors use the site to check an IPO or debt issue application by PAN or application number, confirm trades, and file complaints against listed companies or trading members. BSE StAR MF, the mutual fund platform used by distributors, runs alongside it.
24-day history
We checked 25 times over the last 24 days — healthy on 24 days. It typically responds in about 0.1s.
Dashed line is its usual 0.1s, measured over the last 14 days. Gaps are days with no timing data.
If BSE isn't working
-
Update or change the browser bseindia.com needs a current browser with scripts on. Try Chrome, Edge or Firefox if pages stay blank.
-
Switch off script and ad blockers Blockers can stop quotes and the IPO status form from loading.
-
Clear the cache for bseindia.com Stored old files can break the newer pages; clear them and reload.
-
Mind the captcha The IPO status check needs the captcha typed exactly. Use Play Audio if the image is unclear.
-
See if other BSE website users report it Many BSE website reports together mean the site is the problem. Try again in a few minutes.

Questions
Our check on this page covers the bseindia.com website, not the Sensex or share prices. Several users reporting the BSE site at once means the website is in trouble. A red market day on its own says nothing about the site.
bseindia.com builds its pages in the browser, so an old browser, a script blocker or a weak connection can leave pages blank. If every page fails for many users together, the problem is BSE's. Reload once, then try a different browser before deciding the BSE site is down.
Open Status of Issue Application under Investors, choose Equity or Debt, pick the issue name and enter the application number or PAN. Allotment details appear only after the registrar (RTA) finishes the allocation. Questions about the allotment go to the RTA, and a refund or unblock question goes to your bank.
Check that you picked the right issue and typed the PAN or application number exactly. If the bid details still look wrong, BSE asks investors to contact their trading member, the SCSB bank, the RTA or the depository participant.
Use e-Complaint Registration in the Investors section of bseindia.com, email the investor services desk, or file on SEBI SCORES. Add your PAN, mobile number, email and supporting documents. BSE only takes complaints about trades done on its own trading system by its trading members.
Send it to BSE's dedicated mobile number or email for unsolicited tips, with your name, client code or PAN and contact details. BSE adds stocks to its watchlists only after checking the reports it gets.
The corporate office line is 022 2272 1233. Investor complaint emails, the broker complaints desk and the stock tip line are on our BSE helpline page.
