Questions

Zoom problems reported from India gather on this page, which also checks zoom.us. Zoom posts its own incidents on Zoom Status at zoomstatus.com. If neither shows trouble, check your network and device.

For freezing, lag, poor audio or dropped meetings, check the connection first. Zoom suggests:

Run an internet speed test.
Plug in a wired cable if your router has a port.
Move closer to the WiFi router.
On office WiFi, switch off the corporate VPN if the meeting does not need it.

Weak or slow WiFi is the common cause. Move nearer the router, update its firmware, or add a WiFi extender. On a busy office network, turning off group HD video in your account settings saves bandwidth.

Join Zoom's test meeting. It checks your connection, camera, speaker and microphone before the real call, so you can fix a problem without keeping others waiting.

Check Zoom Status first. If Zoom shows no incident and only colleagues on the same WiFi have trouble, try another hotspot or a wired connection, and ask your IT department to look at the office WiFi.

It is the current name of Zoom's main app for Windows, Mac, Android and iPhone. Meetings, team chat and other Zoom tools sit inside it, so a Zoom Workplace problem can stop your meetings too.
