If ZEE5 isn't working

See if other ZEE5 viewers in India report it When ZEE5 viewers in many cities report together, the fault is ZEE5's.
Update the app and restart Close background apps, update ZEE5 from the Play Store or App Store, then switch the device off and on.
Fix the browser player Update Widevine and allow protected content, and use a normal window, not incognito.
Turn off ad blockers and VPN Ad blockers can hide the player, and a VPN can block the stream.
Hard refresh the page After clearing the cache, press Ctrl + Shift + R on Windows, or Cmd + Shift + R on a Mac, and try once more.
Log in with the right account Your plan sits on the email or number used to pay, so log out and try each one.

When reports here rise across India, wait for ZEE5 to fix it. Otherwise follow ZEE5's own order on a phone or TV: close background apps, update the ZEE5 app, then switch the device off and on. On a laptop, update the browser, clear the cache, turn off ad blockers and any VPN, and hard refresh.

A black screen or a DRM or Widevine error means the browser's video lock needs attention. In Chrome, open chrome://components and click Check for update on Widevine Content Decryption Module, then turn on protected content in chrome://settings/content/protectedContent. Use a normal window, not incognito.

Some networks block streaming on purpose, and a VPN can stop ZEE5 as well. Switch to mobile data or a phone hotspot to test, and turn the VPN off. Only that network's IT admin can unblock ZEE5 on its Wi-Fi.

Update the ZEE5 app on the TV and restart the TV. The Help Centre has link and activate steps for Android and Google TV, Samsung, LG, Apple TV, Fire TV Stick and Chromecast. Sony CEB TVs no longer run the ZEE5 app; use the phone app, the website, a Fire TV Stick or Chromecast.

Do not pay again yet. ZEE5 says such payments reconcile on their own after a short wait. Check every email and number you use for a confirmation, then contact ZEE5 support with the UPI UTR number, date, time and amount. If the plan never activates, ZEE5 says the bank refunds the debit, typically within 3 to 5 business days.
