Prime Video is Amazon's streaming service and comes bundled into a Prime membership in India rather than being sold mainly on its own, which put it in front of a very large audience from the start.

It carries Hollywood and Indian films, originals, regional cinema and some live sport, and it added an ad supported tier along with add-on channel subscriptions. Its busiest moments come with big film premieres, particularly the direct-to-streaming release of a major Indian film, when demand arrives all at once.
