Anime fans in India watch new episodes on Crunchyroll shortly after they air in Japan. The service, run by Crunchyroll, LLC, streams subbed and dubbed shows on the website, phone apps, smart TVs, PlayStation and Xbox.
Premium plans in India are Fan, Mega Fan and Ultimate Fan, paid by card, UPI AutoPay, PayPal, Google Play or Apple. During an outage, login, playback or payments can fail, and Crunchyroll's own status page tracks each one by region.
If Crunchyroll isn't working

Close and reopen Crunchyroll Shut the app or browser tab completely, then load the episode again.

Clear the app cache On a phone, go to Settings, Apps, Crunchyroll, Storage and tap Clear cache. Clear data also logs you out.

Pause ad blockers Browser extensions can stop the Crunchyroll player. Turn them off and refresh the page.

Drop the playback quality A slow connection makes Crunchyroll buffer. Choose a lower quality in the player settings, or try mobile data instead of Wi-Fi.

Check the status card on this page: it shows our check of crunchyroll.com and what viewers in India are reporting. Crunchyroll's own page, status.crunchyroll.com, also lists Account Access, Apps, Playback and Payments for the Asia region.
Many reports at once mean Crunchyroll is facing an outage or technical issue, and shows will not play until it is fixed. Wait and try again.
If it is only you, close the app or tab fully, reopen it, and clear the app cache. Crunchyroll says most loading problems come from cached data, browser extensions or the network.
- Switch off the TV, unplug it for 30 seconds, then turn it on.
- Check the internet by opening another app.
- Update Crunchyroll from the Google Play Store on the TV.
- Go to Settings, Apps, Crunchyroll, Storage, and clear cache and data.
- If it still fails, uninstall and reinstall the app.
On the TV, choose Activate with Code to see a 6-character code. On your phone or computer, open crunchyroll.com/activate, enter the code, and the TV logs in. This works on PlayStation, Xbox, Android TV, Google TV, Fire TV, Apple TV, Samsung, LG and other listed TVs.

Partly. Some shows have Hindi subtitles or a Hindi dub, but not every title, and the app itself is not in Hindi yet. To check a show, open an episode and look under CC for subtitles or in the audio settings for dubs.
Type the number by hand with the +91 country code, make sure it is already added to your account, and enter the OTP exactly. If that fails, clear the cache or app data, or try a private window. You can always log in with your email and password instead.
