Apple Music listeners in India report problems here, while our monitor checks the web player at music.apple.com. Apple's System Status page tracks Apple Music, Music Subscriptions and Radio separately. If both look fine, look at your app, device or network.
Check which of these you see:
- Songs not playing, or "cannot connect" errors.
- Downloads stuck for offline listening.
- The Android or Windows app not opening.
- The subscription showing as inactive.
Check Apple Music on Apple's System Status page. If Apple shows no issue, update the app and sign in again.
Update the Apple Music app from Google Play first. Then check that you use the same Apple Account that holds the subscription, and that the phone has a working connection.
There are three monthly plans.
- Individual: Rs 139 a month.
- Family: Rs 229 a month, shared with up to five people.
- Student: Rs 69 a month, for verified college students.
New subscribers get the first month free, and every plan includes the Apple Music Classical app.
Up to four years, as long as you remain a student and Apple can verify your status with your college or university. After that, the membership continues at the Individual price of Rs 139.
On iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, choose Apple Music and tap Cancel Subscription. If no Cancel button shows, or you see an expiry message in red, it is already cancelled.
