About VFS Global
Visa appointments for many countries, including Italy, Germany, France, the UK and Canada, are booked in India through VFS Global. It runs the Visa Application Centres where applicants give documents and biometrics, and is the official partner of embassies such as the Embassy of Italy in India.
Every destination has its own India page on visa.vfsglobal.com, with appointment booking, application tracking and a centre finder. The visa decision itself stays with the embassy or its immigration authority.

Our monitor opens VFS's Italy page for India on visa.vfsglobal.com, and visa applicants in India report VFS Global problems here. If others are fine, check your browser and network. Each destination country has its own VFS page, so one can work while another fails.
Check which of these you see:
- No appointment slots showing.
- Login, OTP or captcha not going through.
- Tracking not loading.
- Fee payment failing.
Empty slots are not always an outage; dates may simply be booked. When many applicants report errors at once, VFS has a fault.
- Start the visa process for your destination country first.
- Come back to that country's VFS page for India with your reference number.
- Choose Book an appointment and pick a Visa Application Centre.
Italy's page, for example, is at visa.vfsglobal.com/ind/en/ita.
Use Track your application on the VFS page for your destination country, with the reference number from your application. VFS also sells an SMS Alerts service for status updates. For UK visas, VFS does not give progress updates; most non-settlement UK decisions come within 15 working days of the biometrics appointment.
VFS lists a Jaipur Visa Application Centre for Germany visas, open Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 4 PM. Other countries use their own centre lists, so check Find a centre on your destination's VFS page before you go.
No. VFS takes in applications but does not decide them. A complaint about the outcome or timing of a UK visa goes to UK Visas and Immigration. Complaints about service at a centre, such as staff conduct or appointment issues, go to VFS.
