HRTC keeps 10% of the fare if you cancel more than 12 hours before departure, and 25% between 4 and 12 hours. Inside 4 hours no cancellation is allowed. The clock runs from the bus's first station, not yours: a Rampur-Delhi bus leaving Rampur at 5 PM can be cancelled only till 1 PM, even if you board at Shimla.

Online tickets for the Himachal Road Transport Corporation, or HRTC, are sold on online.hrtchp.com, where you can also book as a guest. Seats open 60 days ahead, and HRTC has an Android app too.

The online window shuts 4 hours before departure from the route's origin, and after that only an HRTC counter sells the seat. Bus passes and the HIM BUS cards are handled through links on the corporate site, hrtchp.com.

Money gone, no ticket Check your booking history first. If the ticket is not there, mail [email protected] with the card holder's name, the amount and the date. HRTC processes the refund within 7 to 10 days of the mail, and the bank takes another 3 to 4 days.
Cancel link will not work Log in, open Print/Cancel against the ticket, then press Cancel on the ticket page. HRTC does not accept cancellation by e-mail, and its counters cannot cancel an e-ticket.
Cancelling late costs more 10% goes if you cancel more than 12 hours ahead and 25% between 4 and 12 hours. Inside 4 hours of the first-station departure, nothing can be cancelled.
Discount not applying For a Smart Card or Senior Citizen Smart Card discount, HRTC asks you to book one seat at a time.
