Questions
This page collects Lufthansa reports from India while our monitor tests lufthansa.com. With a quiet page and your own error, check your device and network. A delayed or cancelled flight is a separate thing, so check your booking in the Lufthansa app.
The common faults are narrow:
- A "server currently unavailable" message at check-in.
- Travel ID login failing.
- Rebooking or payment not completing.
Retry in the Lufthansa app, which uses the same booking. If the app shows the same error and many users here report it too, the problem sits with Lufthansa.
30 hours before departure. Check in on lufthansa.com or in the Lufthansa app with your booking reference or ticket number, then keep the boarding pass on your phone. With a boarding pass already, you can drop bags at self-service baggage drop kiosks at many airports.
Cancel under Flight details in My bookings, or ask the Lufthansa Chat Assistant to do it. Only whole bookings can be cancelled online. The money goes back to the payment method you used.
A full refund applies when the flight is cancelled without a replacement, or the departure is brought forward by over an hour or delayed by two hours or more. A two-hour arrival delay counts too. On non-refundable fares only taxes and fees come back.
- Report it straight away, online or at the Lufthansa baggage tracing desk at the airport. Online reporting works up to three days after arrival.
- Keep the reference number, for example FRALH12345, with your boarding pass and baggage receipt.
- Check progress on the baggage status page or with the Chat Assistant.
If the bag is still missing after five days, fill in the contents list on the status page.
Travel ID is the single login for Lufthansa and the other Lufthansa Group airlines, and it also opens Miles & More. Logging in with it lets you pick a booking for check-in without typing the reference.
