Answer: No DigiYatra issues reported in the last 24 hours, and it responded normally at our last check on 24 Oct 2026, 4:07 AM IST.

Our automated check runs from one or more locations and may miss in-app problems; reports come from users across India. We only call something "down" when users confirm it too. Here's how we check.

About DigiYatra

DigiYatra lets you walk through airport entry and security checks with a face scan instead of showing your ID and boarding pass at every point. It is a Ministry of Civil Aviation initiative, run by the Digi Yatra Foundation, whose shareholders are the Airports Authority of India (AAI) and the Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Cochin airports.

You enrol once in the Digi Yatra app with your Aadhaar, then add each boarding pass and share it with the departure airport before you fly. Your face data and travel details stay on your phone, not on a central server.

If DigiYatra isn't working

  • Are flyers at other airports reporting it? If flyers at several airports report DigiYatra failing together, the problem is wider than your phone.

  • Switch off the VPN Digi Yatra blocks connections from outside India, so a VPN can stop the app. Turn it off and retry.

  • Share inside the time window Credentials go to the airport from 24 hours to 60 minutes before departure. Share inside that window so the gate has your details.

  • Match the name on the ticket If the boarding pass will not upload, compare the name on it with the name saved in the app. The foundation lists a name mismatch as one cause.

  • Update the app Install the latest Digi Yatra app version before you leave for the airport.

Other ways to access DigiYatra

  • Use the regular entry gate DigiYatra is optional. Show your physical ID and boarding pass at the normal gate and carry on.

  • Always carry your ID Keep a physical government ID with you even when DigiYatra works, in case a gate or camera fails.

  • Ask the airport team The airport operator's staff at the DigiYatra lane deal with gate failures. They can move you to the manual check.

  • Enrol again on a new phone Lost or changed your phone? Install the app again and repeat the one-time enrolment.

  • Email support For app problems that will not go away, see our DigiYatra helpline page.

Questions

Our DigiYatra card tracks the Digi Yatra Foundation's service and shows what other flyers report. Reports from many airports at once suggest a wider problem. A failure at one gate is for that airport's team to fix, so ask the staff there.

Check three things first. A VPN can block the app, because Digi Yatra accepts connections only from Indian IP addresses. Then the app version, and then the timing.

You can share your credentials with the departure airport only from 24 hours before departure until 60 minutes before. Outside that window the share button will not help.

Turn off any VPN, update the Digi Yatra app from Google Play or the App Store, and try again on mobile data. If the app still fails, reinstall it. Your credentials live only on the phone, so you will need to enrol again after a reinstall.

Not yet. The Digi Yatra Foundation says international processing is on its roadmap and will come in phases. For now it covers domestic departures. Enrolment also needs Aadhaar, so a foreign passport holder cannot sign up.

Most big airports do, including Delhi, Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai, Kolkata, Jaipur, Pune and Noida. The full current list is on the Locations page of the Digi Yatra Foundation site, and the app shows it too.

No. Passengers travelling with an infant cannot use the DigiYatra gate yet. Use the regular entry with your ID and boarding pass.

Ek baar enrol karna hota hai, phir har flight ke liye boarding pass share karna hota hai.
  4. Gate par boarding pass scan karein aur camera mein dekhein.

DigiYatra handles support by email. The address and what to send are on our DigiYatra helpline page.

Yes. The download button on the status card saves a server down image with DigiYatra's status, the time of our last check, and how many users are reporting problems.
