An incident on vercel-status.com means waiting for Vercel's fix. With the status page green, look inside your project: the Deployments page shows the build error message, and the Build Logs show the full console output from the build.

Click the info box under the error code for Vercel's explanation. Then check the deployment URL for typos, confirm in the deployment list that the deployment succeeded and was not deleted, and open the Source tab to find an index.html at the root. A capitalised Index.html needs renaming.

Check the Git login connection first, under Account Settings, then Authentication. Vercel calls it the most common cause, and it fails without any error. Next, match your local Git email to the one verified with your Git provider, and make sure an Ignored Build Step script is not skipping builds, since exit code 0 skips.

Give DNS time. Vercel says nameserver changes can take up to 48 hours, while A and CNAME records update quickly. If the dashboard shows the domain configured but the site will not open, your device may hold an old record: try a phone on mobile data, or restart your computer or router.

Redeploy. Changes to environment variables apply only to new deployments, not to ones already built. Also check that the variable is set for the right environment: Production, Preview for other branches, or Development.
