About Unity Small Finance Bank
Set up by a consortium of Centrum Financial Services and BharatPe, Unity Small Finance Bank began operations in late 2021. In 2022 the Punjab and Maharashtra Co-operative Bank (PMC Bank) was amalgamated into it under a government scheme.
Former PMC depositors are repaid on a staged timetable set by that scheme, and Unity publishes the detail on its own site. Alongside it runs a retail and small business book from Mumbai, with a mobile app, internet banking and WhatsApp banking.
The credit card side is branded Roarbank and has its own helpline and app.
