About MCC

MCC, the Medical Counselling Committee, handles the All India Quota seats for MBBS and BDS, plus deemed and central university seats, allotting them on NEET rank. State quota counselling is run separately by each state.

Lakhs of NEET qualified candidates register here, fill choices and go through multiple rounds including mop-up and stray vacancy. For a medical aspirant this is the most anxious stretch of the whole year, since a single round can decide the college and the city. Registration deadlines and seat allotment result days are when it is hit hardest.

Wait and retry during counselling load On registration and allotment days MCC is overloaded. Wait a few minutes and retry rather than refreshing constantly.
Save choices early, not at the deadline Fill and save your choices well before the deadline, when the site is far less loaded, and save frequently.
Keep your NEET details ready Have your NEET roll number, registration and password ready before you log in, so you do not lose time during the rush.
Check a payment before repeating it If a counselling fee is debited but not confirmed, keep the reference and check the status rather than paying twice.
Check the live status above If many people are reporting MCC right now, it is the counselling load and not just you.

Use the official counselling page The official MCC UG counselling page is here: mcc.nic.in/ug-medical-counselling. Use only the official site, since counselling is free.
Try in off-peak hours MCC is much faster late at night or early morning, away from the registration and allotment rush.
Use a stable connection and one device Choice filling is smoother on a stable connection and a single device, since multiple logins can conflict.
Follow official notices for schedule Round schedules and extensions are posted on the MCC site, so check there before assuming a permanent outage.

The reports above matter more than usual here. Counselling rounds have hard deadlines, and MCC slows most in the final hours of a choice filling or registration window when every candidate logs in together. Submitting a day early avoids the worst of it entirely.

On registration and allotment-result days a huge number of NEET candidates log in and fill choices at once, so the site slows down or errors out for a while. It is the load, not your account.

Log in on the official MCC counselling page and open the allotment result for the current round. If it is overloaded, wait a few minutes and try again rather than reloading constantly.
