Q: My old SSC registration does not work, why?

Registrations made on the old ssc.nic.in site do not work on ssc.gov.in. SSC asks every candidate to complete a fresh One-Time Registration (OTR) on ssc.gov.in; once made, it stays valid for every exam on the new site.

Q: Why is my SSC admit card not downloading?

It opens only 2 to 3 days before your exam, on ssc.gov.in. Your exam city, centre and time table go up on your regional office's website about 10 days before. If your details are missing a week before the exam, contact that regional office with proof that you applied.

Q: When is the SSC CGL 2026 exam?

CGL 2026 Tier-I runs from 30 September to 30 October 2026, as per SSC's notice of 12 September. Log in on ssc.gov.in to see your exam city. The admission certificate opens there 2 to 3 days before your own exam date.

Check Payment Status in your candidate login. SSC marks a form Incomplete when the fee has not reached it and rejects such forms after the fee deadline, so raise it through the portal's feedback option before then. Fees are never refunded or moved to another exam.

If SSC isn't working

Apply before the last two days SSC's notices warn that logins fail under the closing-day load. The deadline is 11 PM, and the fee deadline usually a day later.
Login failing? Check your OTR An old ssc.nic.in registration does not work on ssc.gov.in. Create a new OTR on the new site.
Fee paid, form Incomplete? Open Payment Status in your login and raise it through the feedback option before the fee deadline.
Open files from the Notice Board Answer keys, marks and results are posted as notices on ssc.gov.in. A forwarded link may be out of date.

Check the live reports on this page. When candidates across India report ssc.gov.in failing together, usually close to an application deadline, the load is on the Commission's side. If only you are stuck, try the mySSC app or another browser.

An application window about to close is the usual cause. SSC's own notices warn that heavy load in those days can cause disconnection and failed logins, and ask candidates to apply well before the 11 PM deadline. Answer-key and result days bring the next biggest rush.
