Is NTA down right now?

Q: NTA score card not opening, what can I do?

Look for an alternate link on the exam portal. For NEET (UG) 2026, NTA listed the score card on two servers, marked as the main and the alternate link. Keep your application number and password ready.

NTA is working

Responding normally and no problems reported. If you still can't get on, it's likely your connection or app. Try the steps below.

About NTA

NEET (UG), JEE (Main), CUET, UGC-NET and more than a dozen other national exams are conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), an autonomous body under the Ministry of Education.

nta.ac.in is the agency's main site. Each big exam has its own portal, such as neet.nta.nic.in, jeemain.nta.nic.in, cuet.nta.nic.in and ugcnet.nta.nic.in, where the application, admit card, answer key and score card go live. The free National Testing Abhyas mock tests are linked from nta.ac.in.

If NTA isn't working

Open the exam's own portal NEET, JEE (Main), CUET and UGC-NET each have their own site. Admit cards, answer keys and score cards go up there, not on nta.ac.in.
Try the alternate result link When a score card server is busy, check the exam portal for a second link marked Alternate.
Keep application number and password ready Admit cards and score cards open with your application number and password or date of birth, as the exam portal asks.
Check the live status on this page If many candidates are reporting NTA at the same moment, the servers are overloaded. Wait a little, then try again.

Other ways to access NTA

Follow NTA's WhatsApp channel NTA runs an official WhatsApp channel and posted exam updates there, for example during the NEET (UG) 2026 re-examination. It also posts on X, Facebook and Instagram.
Use the alternate score card link For big results NTA has listed a second server beside the main one. Open it from the exam portal, never from a forwarded message.
Email the exam desk Each exam has its own NTA email, and the helpline covers all of them. The verified NTA helpline page lists the numbers, hours and exam-wise emails.

Questions

Live candidate reports and the check of nta.ac.in on this page show it at once. When both point to trouble, the agency's servers are failing for everyone. When neither does, check your own network first.

Check which NTA site is failing. The main site is nta.ac.in, but NEET, JEE (Main), CUET and UGC-NET each run on their own portal, and score cards can open on a separate result server. One can be down while the rest work, so try the exam's own portal.

Look for an alternate link on the exam portal. For NEET (UG) 2026, NTA listed the score card on two servers, marked as the main and the alternate link. Keep your application number and password ready.

Open your exam's own portal. The admit card sits there, not on nta.ac.in: the NEET site for NEET, the JEE (Main) site for JEE, and so on. If it still fails, call the NTA helpline, 9.30 AM to 5.30 PM, with your application number.

Pehle apne exam ka portal kholein. NEET ke liye neet.nta.nic.in, JEE ke liye jeemain.nta.nic.in aur CUET ke liye cuet.nta.nic.in hai. Score card ke liye exam site par 'Alternate' link bhi dekhein. Phir bhi dikkat rahe to NTA helpline 011-40759000 par baat karein.

National Testing Abhyas, NTA's free mock-test service, is linked from nta.ac.in. If it will not load, check the reports on this page, and use the Mock Test link on nta.ac.in as another way in.

Tap Download on the status card at the top. The server down screenshot shows NTA's status, when we last checked, and how many users are reporting problems.
