About NTA

Most of India's biggest entrance exams are conducted by the National Testing Agency, most of India's biggest entrance exams, NEET UG and JEE Main above all, along with CUET, UGC-NET and several others. NEET alone draws over twenty lakh candidates in a single sitting, which makes it one of the largest exams anywhere in the world.

Its portals carry the notification, the application form, the admit card, the answer key with an objection window, and finally the result and scorecard.

Each of those stages has its own crush. JEE Main results in February and April and the NEET result in June are when every aspirant and parent in the country opens the same page within minutes of the announcement.

If NTA isn't working

Keep calm, it is the load not you On a result day the NTA site is overloaded by lakhs of users at once. Retry steadily without spamming refresh, which only adds to the load.
Try slightly off-peak Access improves outside the immediate rush. Trying a bit later, or early morning and late night, is often smoother.
Use only the official link Use the official NTA website or the direct link it provides. Avoid unofficial mirror sites that ask for your details.
Use a stable connection and download early For admit cards and results, use a reliable connection and download well before the last day when traffic peaks.
Check the live status above If many people across India are reporting NTA right now, it is a wider load issue and not just you.

Other ways to access NTA

Try the official app or portal, whichever you are not on If the NTA website is not loading, an official app or an alternate official portal, where available, can work.
Access off-peak Results and admit cards stay available, so trying off-peak or the next morning usually gets you through once the rush eases.
Use the official direct link only Where the agency shares a direct result or download link, use that. Never enter your details on unofficial mirror sites.
Helpline or regional office for a stuck case For a genuine problem like a mismatch or failed payment, the official NTA helpline or regional office is the route.

On a result day lakhs of candidates open the site in the same short window, so it slows down or times out. It is the load, not your device or your account, and access eases as the rush settles.

Keep trying calmly without hammering refresh, try slightly off-peak, and use the official direct link if one is given. Do not use unofficial mirror sites that ask for your details.

On peak days this is usually the load, or an OTP or network issue. Wait for the OTP for a minute, check your connection, and try again after a short while.

Under peak load the download can fail midway. Try again off-peak, use a stable connection, and download it early rather than on the last day when traffic is highest.
