About CBSE

CBSE is the country's largest national school board, affiliating tens of thousands of schools in India and abroad, including Kendriya Vidyalayas and most private English medium schools. It conducts the Class 10 and Class 12 board exams taken by close to forty lakh students a year.

Its portals carry exam notices, sample papers, results and school and student services, and marksheets now go straight into DigiLocker. Result day, usually in May, is the single heaviest moment on the Indian education internet, since Class 10 and 12 results often land within days of each other.

If CBSE isn't working

  • Wait and retry on result day On peak days the site is overloaded. Wait a few minutes and refresh once, rather than reloading again and again, which adds to the load.

  • Try official mirror or result links On busy days CBSE results often open on more than one official link. Use only official links, since results here are free.

  • Check your details and connection Keep your roll number and required details ready, and switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data if the page is timing out.

  • Try in off-peak hours If it is not urgent, the site is much faster late at night or early morning, away from the result-day rush.

  • Check the live status above If many people across India are reporting CBSE right now, it is the load and not just you.

Other ways to access CBSE

  • Use official result links only On result day CBSE results may be mirrored on official links or DigiLocker. Use only official sources, since results are free and scam sites are common.

  • Try a different browser or device If the page is stuck, another browser, an incognito window or another device can get through.

  • Check later once the rush eases The heaviest load is in the first hour. Checking a bit later is usually far quicker and the result does not expire.

  • Use the official website or helpdesk For a genuine issue, use the official website and helpdesk on the CBSE support page.

Questions

Check the live status and report map above. If reports are spiking, especially on a result day, it is a wider CBSE problem and not just you. On big days the site slows down because lakhs of people open it together.
Result day load is the usual answer, and it is severe, since CBSE declares for lakhs of students simultaneously. DigiLocker and the SMS route both hold up better than the website in that first hour. Outside result season, check whether you are on the academic site or the results host, as CBSE splits them.
When results or a deadline go live, lakhs of students hit CBSE in the same few minutes, so the servers slow down or show errors for a while. It is the load, not you, and it usually eases as the rush settles.
Wait a few minutes and refresh rather than reloading constantly, try again in off-peak hours, and keep your roll number and details ready. If many people are reporting it here, it is down for everyone.
If many people are reporting it here at the same time, the site is overloaded for everyone. If not, switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data, clear the browser cache, and try again.
Ghabraye nahi. Result ke din load ki wajah se site slow ho jati hai. Kuch minute ruk kar refresh karein, off-peak time par try karein, aur roll number saath rakhein.
Yes. Tap the Download button on the live status card at the top of this page to save the CBSE server down image. The screenshot shows CBSE's current status, the last checked time and how many users across India are reporting problems right now. So when CBSE is actually down you get a real service down screenshot, not a mock-up. Save the service down image to keep it or send it to someone.
We run an on-demand server check from our side and combine it with real user reports across India. Reports are the main signal, because CBSE can respond to our check while it is still failing for many users. So if reports are spiking here, it is a real problem even if the site loads for us.
