Jammu and Kashmir Grameen Bank (JKGB) is the regional rural bank of J&K and Ladakh, sponsored by J&K Bank. It took its present form on 1 May 2025, when the old J&K Grameen Bank and Ellaquai Dehati Bank were merged, and the two banks' systems were joined in September 2025.

It runs about 330 branches, 326 in Jammu and Kashmir and 4 in Ladakh. Customers use the JKGB m-BANK app, internet banking, UPI and the *99# USSD service.

All 330 JKGB branches run on one core banking system, so when it slows, the app, net banking and UPI can all fail at once. Registration also fails in m-BANK when your mobile number is linked to more than one customer ID, which the branch has to correct.

Ellaquai Dehati Bank merged with the old J&K Grameen Bank on 1 May 2025 to form Jammu and Kashmir Grameen Bank. The systems of the two banks were joined in September 2025, so former Ellaquai Dehati customers now use JKGB's app and channels.

Your account needs full KYC, an active debit card, and a mobile number linked to only one customer ID. Install JKGB m-BANK, then register with your debit card number and ATM PIN, or with a token from your branch. Set a login PIN and a transaction PIN; a new payee can receive money 30 minutes after you add it.
