ixigo's Tatkal window opens 30 minutes after IRCTC. If IRCTC opens AC Tatkal at 10:00 AM, ixigo lets you book from 10:30 AM, and non-AC classes from 11:30 AM. Online Tatkal also needs Aadhaar authentication on the IRCTC account.

Q: How do I cancel a ticket booked on ixigo?

Log in, open My Trips, select the booking and tap Cancel Ticket near the bottom. For a partial cancellation, tick only the passengers who are not travelling. The refund status shows under the same booking ID.

Train tickets are what most people open ixigo for, alongside flights, buses and hotels. The app and ixigo.com are run by Le Travenues Technology Limited from Gurugram, and train bookings go through the traveller's own IRCTC account.

Tatkal on ixigo opens a little after IRCTC does. Cancellations, refunds and booking history all sit under My Trips, and an AI assistant called TARA answers in the Customer Service tab.

If ixigo isn't working

Update the ixigo app Old versions fail at payment. Install the latest ixigo or ixigo trains app and log in again.
Check your IRCTC login A wrong or locked IRCTC password stops a train booking at checkout. Reset it on irctc.co.in if needed.
Try a different network Switch from Wi-Fi to mobile data, or the other way round, if search results keep spinning.
Avoid repeat payments After a failed payment, check My Trips before paying again.
Compare with other ixigo travellers Many ixigo reports together mean the fault is with ixigo or IRCTC. Wait for some time and retry.

Look at the traveller reports on this page and our test of ixigo.com. If many people report failures at once, ixigo itself is struggling. If only your search failed, update the app or switch network and retry before you book elsewhere.

Train bookings on ixigo depend on IRCTC as well as ixigo, so a slow IRCTC also stops ixigo at checkout. When flights, buses and hotels fail too, the problem is on ixigo's side.

Do not book again in a hurry. For a failed booking, ixigo says the amount goes back to the source account within 7 days. Check the trip in My Trips first; if it shows as booked, the ticket is valid.
