Answer: No Delhi Metro issues reported in the last 24 hours, and it responded normally at our last check on 24 Oct 2026, 4:05 AM IST.
Our automated check runs from one or more locations and may miss in-app problems; reports come from users across India. We only call something "down" when users confirm it too. Here's how we check.

About Delhi Metro
Delhi Metro is run by the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) from Metro Bhawan, Barakhamba Road. Its network, including the Airport Express and Rapid Metro Gurugram, carries passengers across Delhi, Noida, Ghaziabad, Gurugram and Faridabad.
Tickets are QR codes bought in the Delhi Metro Sarthi app, on WhatsApp or at stations, or fares are paid with a smart card, virtual smart card or NCMC card. Smart cards are topped up online on dmrcsmartcard.com.
23-day history
We checked 23 times over the last 23 days — healthy on 23 days. It typically responds in about 0.2s.
Dashed line is its usual 0.2s, measured over the last 14 days. Gaps are days with no timing data.

Questions
This page checks delhimetrorail.com and collects commuter reports on the Delhi Metro Sarthi app, QR tickets and card top-ups. A burst of reports together points to a DMRC system problem.
For train delays on a particular line, DMRC's own website shows a service status for every line, and the 24x7 helpline gives updates.
The Delhi Metro Sarthi app sells mobile QR tickets and the virtual smart card, so an app fault blocks both. You can still buy a ticket another way:
- WhatsApp: send Hi to 9650855800 for a QR ticket.
- Paytm, PhonePe, Amazon or One Delhi apps.
- A paper QR ticket at the ticket counter or vending machine.
An online top-up reaches your card only after you tap the card at a station. DMRC's online recharge works in two steps:
- Pay on dmrcsmartcard.com, Paytm, PhonePe, Amazon or Airtel bank with the card's engraved ID.
- Place the card on the Add Value Machine (AVM) near the customer care centre at any station.
You have 180 days to do the second step. A successful online top-up cannot be refunded, so check the card number before paying.
Take it to the customer care centre of any station. If the chip is unreadable, you deposit the card and the balance is moved to another card; validate that card at an AVM after 5 days and within 90 days.
If the card fails at the exit gate, depositing it gets you a free exit ticket. A virtual smart card problem is raised in the app that issued it.
Yes, if the ticket is unused and you ask within 60 minutes of buying it. Ask where you bought it:
- Paper QR ticket: at the same station.
- Mobile QR ticket: in the same app.
- WhatsApp ticket: on WhatsApp.
A partly used ticket is refunded only when services are disrupted.
Smart card and virtual smart card users get 10% off every journey. They get another 10% when they enter in non-peak hours:
- before 8 AM;
- from 12 noon to 5 PM;
- after 9 PM.
The extra discount applies Monday to Saturday, except on 26 January, 15 August and 2 October.
DMRC's 24x7 helpline is 155370; calls are charged at your normal rate. Lost and Found, the women and children helpline and CISF are on our Delhi Metro helpline page.
