CTU (Chandigarh Transport Undertaking) started on 1 November 1966 with 30 buses, when Punjab Roadways was split at the reorganisation of Punjab. Under the Chandigarh Administration, it runs city buses across the tricity, suburban services, and long-route buses to Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Himachal, J&K, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan.
