About App Store
Apps and games on iPhone, iPad and Mac come from Apple's App Store, which also handles in-app purchases and app subscriptions. In India, buyers pay by UPI, Visa or Mastercard card, or with Apple Account balance.
The store needs a working Apple Account sign-in, and Apple lists it on its System Status page. Purchase history and refund requests sit on Apple's reportaproblem.apple.com.

Our monitor checks the India App Store at apps.apple.com, and iPhone users here report App Store problems as they hit them. Apple's System Status page also lists the App Store. If both look fine, check your device, network and account.
Most reports fall into a few groups:
- Apps stuck on Waiting or not downloading.
- A payment failing at Buy or Get.
- Apple Account sign-in not going through.
- "Cannot connect to App Store" on WiFi or mobile data.
When many users report the same thing at once, the fault is on Apple's side.
Yes. Apple lists UPI as a payment method for Apple Accounts in India, along with Visa and Mastercard cards and Apple Account balance. Net Banking works only for adding funds to the balance.
- Go to reportaproblem.apple.com and sign in.
- Choose "I'd like to", then Request a refund.
- Pick the reason and the app or subscription, then Submit.
Apple updates you in 24 to 48 hours. A pending charge cannot be refunded until the email receipt arrives.
In the App Store, tap your photo, initials or the My Account button, then Use Camera on the 16-digit code on the back of the card. If the camera fails, tap Enter Code Manually. The amount goes into your Apple Account balance.
First spend any Apple Account balance and cancel subscriptions that block the change. Wait for pre-orders and pending refunds to clear.
Then open Settings, tap your name, then Media & Purchases and Country/Region, and pick India. Keep a valid Indian payment method ready; a Family Sharing member may first need to leave the group.
