If Airtel Xstream Fiber isn't working
-
Look at reports from your city Several reports from your city point to an Airtel fault, not your router.
-
Restart the router Switch it off for 30 seconds, then on, and give it two minutes to reconnect.
-
Check the fiber cable A bent or loose fiber cable at the router cuts the connection; reseat it gently.
-
Test with a cable Connect a laptop by LAN cable; if that works, the problem is only WiFi range or interference.
-
Check your bill Make sure the last bill is paid. If it is due, pay it in the Airtel Thanks app.

Questions
Check whether other users near you are reporting in our live check. Many reports from one city point to a fault on Airtel's side, which only Airtel can fix. If nobody else reports, restart your router first.
First find out whether it is only your line. If others in your city report it on this page, Airtel has to fix it. If it is only you:
- Restart the router and wait two minutes.
- Check that the fiber cable into the router is not bent or loose.
- Make sure the last bill is paid, in the Airtel Thanks app.
- Raise it through Chat or Raise a Complaint on airtel.in, or call 198, Airtel's complaint line, from your registered mobile.
Switch the router off, wait 30 seconds and switch it on again. Check that the fiber cable into the router is not bent or loose, and see whether the lights show a fault. If it still fails, raise it in the Airtel Thanks app or call Airtel support from your registered number.
Open the Airtel Thanks app and go to Services, then Broadband, to see your current plan and upgrade it. You can also log in on airtel.in with your registered phone number or Service ID, or call 121 or 198 from that number.
Airtel's broadband plans start at Rs 499 a month for speeds up to 40 Mbps, before taxes. The main steps on its FAQ page are:
- Rs 799 to Rs 1,199 for up to 100 Mbps
- Rs 1,599 for up to 300 Mbps
- Rs 3,999 for up to 1 Gbps
Plans with TV add 350+ channels, and some prices apply only in select areas. Check the current plan for your address on airtel.in before you buy.
Airtel says a new broadband connection is activated within 48 hours. You pay a Rs 1,500 advance for hardware and installation, which is adjusted against your monthly bills. On a monthly prepaid plan, the Rs 1,500 is an installation and hardware charge instead.
No. The router and any IPTV box stay Airtel's property, and Airtel collects them if you permanently disconnect.
