Cabs, autos and two-wheelers across Indian cities are booked through the Uber app, run here by Uber India Systems Private Limited. Riders can also book from a phone browser, reserve a ride up to 90 days ahead, or send a parcel across the city the same day through Uber's courier service.
Intercity trips, hourly rentals and intercity bus tickets sit in the same app. Help for a trip is under that trip in the app, and during a ride the Safety Toolkit behind the shield icon reaches Uber's safety team.

Check the rider reports on this page against our own test of uber.com. Reports landing together from several cities put the fault on Uber's side. If only you see the failure, check the app version, your data signal and location access on your phone.
If the app opens but no cab, auto or Moto can be booked anywhere in your city, the fault is with Uber's servers. If a search stays stuck on finding a driver in one area, there may be no drivers nearby. For login and payment errors on their own, check the OTP and your bank.
Turn mobile data off and on, then check that Uber is allowed to use data in your phone settings. Data saver and some VPN apps block the map and the ride request. If the app works on Wi-Fi but not on data, the problem is your network, not Uber.
Do not pay twice. Uber says a trip left unpaid because of poor network, a bank gateway timeout or low balance can be paid before your next trip. Check the trip in the app for a pending or duplicate charge under Help. UPI is not offered on Uber Auto, so pick another method the app shows for that ride.
Open the trip in the app, tap Find lost item, then Contact driver about a lost item, and enter a number you can be called on. Uber connects you to the driver on a masked number. If the driver does not pick up, report it from the same screen.
Tap the shield icon on the trip screen to open the Safety Toolkit. Its SOS option connects you to local police. The safety line in the same toolkit is for urgent issues that are not emergencies, and it stays available for 30 minutes after the trip ends.
