About Tamil Nadu Board

Tamil Nadu's Directorate of Government Examinations conducts the state's school board exams, and unusually it holds three of them, SSLC for Class 10, HSE +1 for Class 11 and HSE +2 for Class 12.

The +2 result matters most, since engineering and medical admission in the state runs on those marks, and it is declared first, in May, followed by +1 and SSLC over the following days.

So Tamil Nadu's result load arrives as three separate peaks rather than one, each pulling several lakh students to the same site.

If Tamil Nadu Board isn't working

  • Wait and retry on result day On the day itself the site is overloaded. Wait a few minutes and refresh once, rather than reloading again and again, which only adds to the load.

  • Use the official result page Open the official Tamil Nadu Board result page and enter your roll number and details. Use only official pages, since the result is free and copycat sites are common.

  • Keep your roll number and details ready Have your roll number, date of birth or registration number ready before you open the page, so you do not lose time while the result rush is on.

  • Try DigiLocker or SMS When the website is jammed, your result is often available on DigiLocker or by the official SMS format, which work even when the site is slow.

  • Check the live status above If many people across India are reporting Tamil Nadu Board right now, it is the load and not just you.

Other ways to access Tamil Nadu Board

  • Check on the official result page The official Tamil Nadu Board result page is here: https://tnresults.nic.in. Use only official pages, since results are free.

  • Use DigiLocker for the marksheet Board results are available on DigiLocker, which often works when the main result site is overloaded.

  • Check by SMS if available Many boards offer an SMS way to get the result, which gets through even when the website is jammed.

  • Check later once the rush eases The heaviest load is in the first hour after the result goes live. Checking a bit later is usually far quicker, and the result does not expire.

Questions

Check the live status and report map above. On result day the Tamil Nadu Board site slows down because lakhs of people open it together. If reports are spiking here, it is a wider problem and not just you.
When the result goes live, lakhs of students hit Tamil Nadu Board in the same few minutes, so the servers slow down or show errors for a while. It is the load, not you, and it usually eases as the rush settles.
Use the official result page and enter your roll number and the required details. If the main page is overloaded, wait a few minutes and try again rather than reloading constantly.
Wait and retry in a few minutes, try in off-peak hours, and keep your roll number ready. You can also check your result on DigiLocker or by the board's SMS format when the site is overloaded.
Ghabraye nahi. Result ke din load ki wajah se site slow ho jati hai. Kuch minute ruk kar official result page par try karein, roll number saath rakhein, aur DigiLocker ya SMS se bhi result check kar sakte hain.

The screenshot shows Tamil Nadu Board's current status, the last checked time and how many users across India are reporting problems right now. We run an on-demand server check from our side and combine it with real user reports across India. Reports are the main signal, because Tamil Nadu Board can respond to our check while it is still failing for many users. So if reports are spiking here, it is a real problem even if the site loads for us.
