About Tamil Nadu Board

Tamil Nadu's school board exams are run by the Directorate of Government Examinations (DGE), Chennai: SSLC for Class 10 and the Higher Secondary exams (HSE) for Classes 11 and 12, each held in March and again in June.

DGE also conducts D.El.Ed, ESLC for private candidates, technical exams, and the NTS, NMMS and TRUST scholarship tests. Its Results page on dge.tn.gov.in points to tnresults.nic.in and to a result list on apply1.tndge.org, where supplementary results and statements of marks also appear.

Questions

Many student reports here, alongside a failing live check of dge.tn.gov.in, mean DGE's servers are loaded. A passing check with few reports points to a problem on your own network.

DGE uses more than one site. Notices, hall tickets and timetables are on dge.tn.gov.in; results open on tnresults.nic.in or the result list on apply1.tndge.org. When one is busy, try the other from the Results page on dge.tn.gov.in.

From the Results page on dge.tn.gov.in, which links tnresults.nic.in and the DGE result list. Pick the right exam, SSLC, HSE First Year or HSE Second Year, and the right session, March or June.

On the same Results page of dge.tn.gov.in, which lists the supplementary exam result and statement of marks download. The June session is the supplementary sitting for SSLC and HSE.

Apply through the headmaster of your school, who forwards it through the DEO to the directorate. Enclose a certificate of loss from a revenue official not below the rank of Tahsildar. Private candidates apply to DGE directly; online applications are listed on dge.tn.gov.in.
