Suryoday Bank, formally Suryoday Small Finance Bank, started in 2008 as a microfinance company in Navi Mumbai and became a small finance bank about eight years later. Its corporate office is at Seawoods Grand Central in Navi Mumbai, and its registered office is in CBD Belapur.

Customers bank through the Suryoday mobile banking app, internet banking, UPI and WhatsApp banking, and the bank runs a 24x7 contact centre it calls the Smile Centre. It also issues FD-backed RuPay credit cards.
