Amritsar, 1908, is where Punjab and Sind Bank began. It is a Government of India-owned public sector bank, run today from Bank House at Rajendra Place in New Delhi, and Punjab is still its strongest region though it lends in most states.
Everything digital now sits inside PSB UnIC, which brings internet banking, mobile banking, UPI, IMPS, NEFT and RTGS under one platform with a single login. It carries fund transfers, deposits, card controls and cheque services.

Narrow it down to the part that fails.
- OTP late: wait a minute before asking again, and check the signal.
- PSB UnIC app crashing: update it from the store, then clear the cache and sign in again.
- UPI failing: try another UPI app on the same account. If that works, the problem is in the app, not the bank.
The app and net banking share one login on PSB UnIC, so test the web login too before you call 1800 419 8300.
Try the payment from another UPI app on the same account. A UPI ID belongs to the bank account, not to PSB UnIC, so if it fails everywhere the bank's UPI leg is down, and if it works elsewhere the app is the problem. Small transfers up to Rs 10,000 go through UPI or IMPS without adding a payee, which is the quicker route when a beneficiary will not save.
Wait rather than send it again. A failed UPI or IMPS debit falls under RBI's T+1 turnaround, so PSB must return it by the following working day. Keep the reference number, and for a UPI payment keep the 12-digit reference the app shows against it.
Give the OTP a minute before asking again, since repeated requests hold the next one up. PSB UnIC uses one login for the app and the web, so try the other one, update the app and switch networks before you assume the bank is down.
Give a missed call from your registered mobile number to the bank's balance enquiry line and it calls back with the figure. WhatsApp banking answers the same question, and an ATM will do it too. All three are on the PSB helpline page.
