Answer: No NIFT issues reported in the last 24 hours, and it responded normally at our last check on 24 Oct 2026, 4:09 AM IST.
Our automated check runs from one or more locations and may miss in-app problems; reports come from users across India. We only call something "down" when users confirm it too. Here's how we check.

About NIFT
Admission to the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), under the Ministry of Textiles, is through NIFTEE, the entrance exam the National Testing Agency (NTA) conducts. It covers B.Des., B.F.Tech., M.Des., M.F.M., M.F.Tech. and Ph.D. seats across 20 campuses, from Delhi and Mumbai to Kangra and Shillong.
Forms, admit cards, answer keys and results sit on NTA's NIFTEE portal. After the result, seats are allotted through e-Counselling run by NIC on nift.admissions.nic.in, and nift.ac.in posts the notices.
16-day history
We checked 17 times over the last 16 days — healthy on 16 days. It typically responds in about 4.8s.
Dashed line is its usual 4.8s, measured over the last 14 days. Gaps are days with no timing data.

Questions
We check nift.ac.in and count reports from NIFT applicants. When many come in at the same time, the NIFT website is down. The exam form and results are on NTA's portal, so that may still open.
NIFT admissions use three sites. nift.ac.in carries notices, exams.nta.nic.in/niftee handles the form, admit card and result, and nift.admissions.nic.in runs e-Counselling.
If one will not open, NIFT's own FAQ suggests clearing the browser cache, trying another browser or using another device.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducts NIFTEE for all NIFT UG, PG and Ph.D. programmes. Apply only online on the NTA NIFTEE portal. There are five forms: Common UG/PG, NLEA (lateral entry), Artisans, NRI/Foreign Nationals/OCI/PIO/SAARC, and Ph.D.
Log in to the NTA NIFTEE portal. NIFT's FAQ says admit cards come out 3-4 days before the exam and are not sent by post or email, so keep checking the portal and your SMS.
Yes, but only in the correction window NTA opens after applications close. You can fix fields such as images, education details and exam city choices. After that window, no change is made on email requests.
Do not fill a new form. Wait 24 hours, as bank confirmation can take that long. If the money is gone but the status is not updated, contact your bank and raise it with the NTA Helpdesk. Keep the receipt and transaction ID.
Use the online challenge link on the NTA portal while the provisional key is up. Each question needs an explanation, proof and a non-refundable fee of Rs 200. Challenges by email or post are not taken.
After the final result, download your scorecard and check your All-India Rank. NIFT then releases the counselling guidelines, schedule and seat matrix.
Shortlisted candidates register on the e-Counselling portal, nift.admissions.nic.in. No separate email or SMS is sent for shortlisting, so watch the notices.
Stage-1 ka result aam taur par exam ke 2-3 hafte baad NTA portal par aata hai. Sahi tareekh NTA hi batata hai. Shortlist hone par Stage-2 NIFT ke schedule ke hisaab se hota hai.
The NIFT admissions helpline is 9310075593, open on weekdays from 10 AM to 5 PM. The other lines and the NTA Helpdesk are on our NIFT helpline page.
Yes. The download button on the status card saves an image with NIFT's status, the time of our last check, and how many users are reporting problems.
