About KTET
To teach in Kerala's schools, candidates clear K-TET, the Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test. Pareeksha Bhavan, the office of the Commissioner for Government Examinations in Thiruvananthapuram, runs it on ktet.kerala.gov.in.
There are four categories. Categories I to III cover Lower Primary, Upper Primary and High School teaching. Category IV is for language teachers of Arabic, Hindi, Sanskrit and Urdu up to Upper Primary, specialist teachers and physical education teachers. The K-TET for the September 2026 notification is on 14 and 15 November 2026.
