JoSAA is working right now
There's nothing to notify you about. If it goes down later, come back and we'll let you know when it's fixed.
Our automated check runs from one or more locations and may miss in-app problems; reports come from users across India. We only call something "down" when users confirm it too. Here's how we check.

About JoSAA
JoSAA does one job, and it decides where a whole year of engineering aspirants will study. It runs the joint seat allocation for the IITs, NITs, IIITs and other centrally funded institutes, using JEE Advanced and JEE Main ranks.
Candidates register, fill and lock a choice list of institutes and branches, and then wait through several allotment rounds, accepting, floating or sliding at each one. Roughly sixty thousand seats are handled this way over June and July. Every round result day and the final hours before choice locking bring the entire pool online at once.

If JoSAA isn't working
-
Wait and retry on allotment day On peak days the site is overloaded. Wait a few minutes and refresh once, rather than reloading again and again, which adds to the load.
-
Try official mirror or result links On busy days JoSAA results often open on more than one official link. Use only official links, since results here are free.
-
Check your details and connection Keep your roll number and required details ready, and switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data if the page is timing out.
-
Try in off-peak hours If it is not urgent, the site is much faster late at night or early morning, away from the result-day rush.
-
Check the live status above If many people across India are reporting JoSAA right now, it is the load and not just you.
Other ways to access JoSAA
-
Use official result links only On result day JoSAA results may be mirrored on official links or DigiLocker. Use only official sources, since results are free and scam sites are common.
-
Try a different browser or device If the page is stuck, another browser, an incognito window or another device can get through.
-
Check later once the rush eases The heaviest load is in the first hour. Checking a bit later is usually far quicker and the result does not expire.
-
Use the official website or helpdesk For a genuine issue, use the official website and helpdesk on the JoSAA support page.
