Incorporated in 1938, Jammu & Kashmir Bank, usually called JK Bank or J&K Bank, is one of India's oldest private sector banks. It is listed on the NSE and BSE and has its Corporate Headquarters on M A Road, Srinagar.
The Reserve Bank of India has made it its exclusive agent for government banking in the Union Territories of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh, where 872 of its 1,008 branches sit. It also works across 18 states. Customers bank through the mPay Delight+ app, mPay Web, net banking, UPI and WhatsApp banking.

Check the reports on this page. Most JK Bank branches are in Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh, so a burst of reports from Srinagar or Jammu at the same time means JK Bank is facing issues. If mobile internet is down in your area, the app fails even when the bank is fine.
Rule out your phone first. mPay Delight+ needs an active SMS service on your registered number, and first-time setup works on mobile data only. If others report the same failure at once, the JK Bank server has a technical issue, and nothing on your phone will fix it.
Check that SMS is working on the number registered with the bank; the OTP comes by SMS. Update mPay Delight+ from the store rather than going back to an old version. Still stuck? Open mPay Web or net banking in a browser instead.
Open e-Banking Login on jkb.bank.in, which goes to netbanking.jkb.bank.in, and choose Retail Login.

Yes. RBI's turnaround rule gives JK Bank one working day to refund a UPI or IMPS transfer that failed. Keep the reference number, and do not pay a second time. To follow it up, JK Bank's Grievance Redressal page shows the status of a disputed digital transaction, and WhatsApp banking shows dispute status too.
Try a second app first. A JK Bank account works for UPI in mPay Delight+ and in apps such as Google Pay or PhonePe, so if only one app fails, use the other. If every app fails, JK Bank's UPI has a technical issue; call 1800 890 2122, which is also its e-banking, mobile banking and UPI helpdesk.
