About Himachal Board

HPBOSE, headquartered at Dharamshala, conducts Himachal Pradesh's Class 10 and Class 12 exams for a little over a lakh students in each, one of the smaller state boards by volume.

Results usually arrive in April or May, and the board publishes district-wise pass percentages along with the merit list. Because much of the state is hilly and connectivity is uneven, a lot of students check the result on a phone from a school or a nearby town.
