About Flipkart

Flipkart is the homegrown giant of Indian ecommerce, started in Bengaluru in 2007 by two former Amazon employees selling books, and majority owned by Walmart since 2018.

It sells across nearly every category, runs its own logistics arm in Ekart, owns Myntra, and has moved into quick delivery as well. For crores of shoppers in smaller cities it was the first place they ever bought something online.

Its calendar has one enormous fixture, Big Billion Days around the festive season, when traffic and order volume climb to several times the ordinary level for days on end.
