DHBVN handles electricity distribution in south Haryana, which includes Gurugram and Faridabad, while the northern half of the state sits with a separate company.

That gives it a striking mix, high rise and corporate load in the NCR belt on one side and farm connections across the southern districts on the other, with quite different demands from each.

Bills, payments, connection applications and fault complaints go through its portal and app, and the summer peak is when both the network and the complaint system are stretched hardest.

Try the app instead of the site, or a UPI app If the DHBVN website is stuck, the official app or a UPI app like PhonePe, Google Pay or Paytm can usually fetch and pay the bill.
For a power cut, call 1912 A power outage is separate from the billing site. Call 1912 or use the app to register the outage, and keep your consumer number ready.
Keep your consumer number ready Have your consumer or account number (from your bill) ready, since every bill check, payment and complaint needs it.

Other ways to access DHBVN

Pay through a UPI or BBPS app You can pay your DHBVN bill through PhonePe, Google Pay, Paytm or your bank's BBPS bill-pay, which usually works when the utility's own site is down. Keep the consumer number.
Use the official app The DHBVN app can show and pay bills and register complaints when the website is busy, and the other way round.
Report a power cut on 1912 For a no-supply complaint, 1912 reaches the local board directly and does not depend on the billing website being up. The verified DHBVN helpline has the numbers.
Pay at a collection centre For a due bill when everything online is down, an authorised bill-collection centre or the utility office accepts payment in person.

Close to due dates a huge number of consumers in South Haryana pay together, so the portal slows down or errors out for a while. It is the load, not your connection.
