The Bengaluru Electricity Supply Company Limited (BESCOM), a Government of Karnataka company, supplies power to Bengaluru and the districts around it.

Bills, new connections and fault complaints run through its website and the BESCOM Mithra app, which also shows scheduled and unscheduled outages and tracks the restoration team by GPS. The website lists planned and contingency power outages, and the state's Gruha Jyothi scheme has its own page there.

If BESCOM isn't working

Keep the reference before retrying Note the transaction reference and check the bill status before paying again, so the amount does not go twice.
Swap the site for the app, or a BBPS app When the website is stuck, the Mithra app or any UPI and BBPS bill-pay app will fetch the bill from the RR number and take the payment.

Any BBPS app pays the bill PhonePe, Google Pay, Paytm and bank bill-pay all reach BESCOM through BBPS with nothing but the RR number, and they keep working when the utility's own portal does not.
The Mithra app does bills and complaints BESCOM's own app carries billing and payment history, online payment, complaint registration with status tracking, and scheduled and unscheduled outage information.
